Ben Crawford grew up in the family business which was involved in commercial construction and focused on bridge construction and commercial buildings. As a young boy, he spent his summers cleaning, repairing, and refurbishing the business’s specialized bridge equipment. Ben loved helping the mechanics— although the mechanics might not have loved his help.
Upon graduating college and marrying his college sweetheart, Beth, and while still working for the family business he and Beth became involved in buying and selling construction equipment on an emerging online marketplace called Ebay. For several years they were the largest seller of scissors lifts on Ebay. That venue transitioned to rental equipment which over time became their sole business interest.
Having spent most of his life as a contractor Ben is able to understand the needs of contractors as well as homeowners who are tackling projects for themselves. Many of those on the team that Ben and Beth assembled have a background in construction and know the value of customer service.
Starting with one telehandler and just a few scissor lifts the fleet has now grown to over 250 pieces which include over 30 telehandlers, 40 boom lifts, scissor lifts, skidsteers, mini excavators, and heavy construction equipment of all kinds.
